Rebecca Carter Burke
About the Artist
Rebecca Carter Burke is a Boston area Alt-Country artist. Her passion for music began at the age of eight when she joined her church choir in Thomson, GA. Her family later moved to East Texas, where she graduated from Palestine High School and went on to attend Lon Morris College to earn a degree in Musical Theater. Prior to making her move to Boston, Rebecca was a cast member in the musical "Texas" located in the Palo Duro Canyon.
It goes without saying that Rebecca draws on her southern roots with her music. Her sound is upbeat and soulful. Rebecca has been involved in numerous music projects in the Boston area, including her Americana band Blame The Whiskey, which was Limelight Magazine's 2020 Country Artist of the Year and a nominee for the New England Music Award's Country Act of the Year 2022.
In 2020, Rebecca launched her solo project "Rebecca Carter Burke". She has co-written and recorded several songs which have been featured on Boston's 101.7 The Bull's Backyard Country and she was Country 102.5 Boston's "Catch of the Week".
